Last day here in Africa, so Bert and I wanted to do something really memorable. We went on a poo safari! It was fantastic. Do you realize how many fantastic smelling poos they have here! I could do this all day. Well in fact I did.

Bert and I set off early, before the girls woke up. This is serious guy stuff, you know. First we rolled in poo from jackals – it was okay, not that special. Then we rolled in poo from hippos – slightly vegetarian whiff about it and really not my cup of tea – or should I say cup of poo. The same goes for zebras – okay, but nothing to write home about.

Then we came across some lions poo, but no way was I going to walk around smelling like a big nasty cat, so I skipped that one.

Then Bert spotted a huge pile of dung. It was warm fresh elephant poo, and it smelt great. We threw ourselves on our back and give a really good roll again. We did it several times. I even ate a bit . Not bad, I can tell you.

It was a splendid day. We topped up with some poo from a rhinoceros. Very delectable. I can tell you one thing. When we got back to the camp, there was an intoxicating whiff about us. The girls went crazy. They kept smelling at us. I think they were very jealous, but sometimes a dog has to do, what a dogs has to do. And Bert and I had to this thing together.

I’m going to miss that crazy guy. I will have to go visit him in Yorkshire for some serious ratting. Why don’t I have any rats, where I live. My Mums not running a hedgehog sanctuary anymore either, so my killing sprees are few and far between.

All in all it was an excellent day with an excellent mate. Who can ask for more. Now I shal go and rub some of this divine scent off on Picklelicious. She’ll love me for it. Tomorrow on the plane I doubt we’ll have any problems getting a good seat on the plane . People can be fussy about poo smells – so they’ll give us a wide berth. Their loss, right!
