Hip Dysplasia

So, mom took me to the doctor yesterday about my limping and they said I needed to take X-rays. Today they sedated me and took the x-rays of my hips. While I was still asleep they called my mom and told them I´m in the early stages of Hip Dysplasia. I think that is the reason I´ve been stiff and in pain. They said we needed to go on regular walks so my muscles stay strong and then take Rimadyl for the pain. They also are going to give me an anti-inflammitory medicine. My mom seemed to be really sad when I got home, but I was so tired. I made sure I went back to sleep right beside mom so she doesn´t need to worry about me.

i hope you exercise well and keep your muscles strong and i am sure your mum will do her best for you, give you the right medication and above all her abudant love

I am so sorry to hear the news about Vincent. I am sure he´s a sweet dog. My dog Cocoa who just passed away had bad hips too. Mostly his legs were bad, but his hips too. Nothing ever helped my dog but he powered on because he loved us. I am sure your Sweetie will do that too. I hope your dog gets better and has some great last years of his life. (Not to say he will die. I hope he does not!)
