About me

Hi! I´m Flower. I´m actually a Beagle mix and no one is really sure how old I am. My vet said I "was well into my teens" when I was adopted but I was in very poor health, very neglected and my teeth were HORRID.

When I was adopted I had heartworm, tapeworm, whipworm, demodex and sarctoptic mange. I´m all better now thanks to my wonderful vet and family but I don´t have many teeth left and have had bone graphs to my lower jaw to keep it from receding.

I love my family and don´t even remember the "bad time" in my life except for an occasional bad dream.

I don´t see as well as I used to but I manage to get around just find. You´ll never find me very far from my friend BogDog or my humans.

Favourite food

Anything but veggies! I wouldn´t even eat those when I had to dumpster dive!

Likes

Sleeping, attention, BogDog and one of the three cats I live with. Oh yeah and doggie turkey jerky.....it is my favorite thing as a snack!

Dislikes

I don´t like traveling and get horrid car sick just thinking about it! I don´t like baths either! I survived many years without one thank you but it makes my human feel better to give me one every now and then so I tolerate it!

What makes me special

I am a survivor of an extremely neglectful and abusive prior owner. I ooze personality which is why, even at my advanced age and horrible health problems the folks at the local Animal Shelter and a volunteer organization decided to put thousands of dollars into my veterinary care so I could live the rest of my years as a happy dog!
