Congratulations on becoming Dog of the Week. Tell us a little bit about your breed Do-Khy?

Do-khyi is a very old breed (it is thought that tibetan mastiffs are ancestors of all the modern mastifflike dogs we know today). And even though it sure is old breed it´s not very common, which is strange, because these dogs don´t suffer from many illnesses (as their ancestors come from Himalayas, where only the fittest survive) and they are good guards, love animals and are very loyal to their masters. The only disadvantage is that they are very stubborn.

Who is the most important person in your life and why?
That is definitely my owner, Alžběta. She is the one to take care of me- we go together for long walks every day, she gives me treats when I do something she likes (mostly sit down or lay down, because I don´t want to learn anything else), she also takes me to the places I can play with other dogs and we go to the dog shows, which is fun, because I can see so many dogs in there. Shorty she is always with me and she is patient- that´s what I like about her.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Greatest achievement you say? Apart from being born so handsome and lovely? I think making friends is my greatest achievement- I am so kind and calm that even the most raging dog gives up and plays with me.

What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?
I can tell you even the date It was on 26th of January 2008 when my owners brought me a puppy from the dog shelter- Satan. I love him and I am so happy I can play with him all day long!

What is your most treasured possession?
I´m not into treasuring material things much so all my possessions are usually chewed in few minutes Time to time it´s the house or garden, so I can be very annoying when someone is passing it by.
But since I got Satan I must treasure him, he is so young, foolish and vulnerable!

What is your best memory?
The memory is still so fresh- I went to a dog show where I met my sister and played wit her and oher dogs. After the show we got home and I went to play with my best friend Max to the forest where I could jump into the creek and roll myself in the sand- that felt so good! Then I got home where our cat, Merlin, was awaiting me in the garden, so we could play and run around as fools. And at the end of the day I got very big bone to chew. I can´t think of anything better

What as been the best thing on Uniteddogs site?
Making friends, of course. I wish I could meet them all in person one day and play with them!
