Introduction
At the age of two, I was roaming the streets in search of food and shelter. I was in very bad condition and was a lone stray. One day I came across an owner and their dog. The dog seemed very kind to anyone he met that I decided to follow him and his owner. It was a bit of a walk but I eventually followed them to a large, spacious house. The owner saw the condition I was in and without hesitation, took me in. They bathed, brushed, groomed and feed me. It felt so much better compared to my usual lifestyle. The owner was planing on turning me into the animal shelter until she decided to ask a friend if they would like to take me in as their own. I was taken to visit the owners’ friend’s house and immediately knew that this would be the perfect home. I now live with my new owners and in the following years had two other dogs follow I reguarly visit the dog whom I followed and whose owner saved my life. We are now the best of friends, Bijou and I now love visiting each others homes and spending our time together reminiscing about the "good old days" seeing as were both well into our older age. ;)
Hairy Maclairy, here you are, Dog of the Week during the Christmas week? What do you think will owners get you even more presents because of this title?
I am just so very thankful to be given the title of ‘Dog of the Week’ during Christmas, my parents are just so happy for me. Even if they decide that my current Christmas present is enough I will still be just as thankful and happy for it because I know I’ll be getting lots of love by everyone this Christmas anyway.
What would be the perfect Christmas present for you?
The best Christmas present I or any other dog could receive this Christmas is for no more stray or abused animals, no more poverty, and that everyone in the will enjoy the Celebration of Christmas! Maybe an extra large bone on the side!
Now that you have already seen many Christmases with your new family, what is your best Christmas memory?
My best Christmas memory by far would be the year I received a large, blue papasan chair for a Christmas present. I would always cuddle up in there because it was so spacious and warm, but that wasn’t my only present, later that day I received this huge thigh bone of a cow, it was so heavy that it was nearly impossible to lift it! It took me weeks to eat, but sure was delicious. But what really made that Christmas special was being able to spend it with my family and friends, their the one’s that made me really enjoy the occasion.
Now a little bit about yourself. What is your greatest strength and weakness?
My greatest Strengths by far would be that my absolute cuteness is impossible to resist by anyone and that I am so polite and sweet to anyone I meet. My weakness though is something that I´m not very proud of; I absolutely hate water, especially when I´m getting a bath. It´s always hard for my owners to get me into the bath because I always know when their about to wash me, and no matter how innocent I look, my cuteness no longer has an affect.
What do you think are three words best describe your personality? But what three words would others probably use to describe you?
Three words that best describe me:
1.Pure
2.Humble
3.Courteous
Three words that others use to best describe me:
1.Handsome
2.Generous
3.Loving
What is your most treasured possession and why?
My most treasured possession is my blue papasan chair. That chair has always been my place of refuge and my main source of warm pets. I have always loved that chair, it´s spacious, soft, warm and I would always cheer up my owners in that chair if they were upset. I don´t mind sharing its space, as long as everyone knows how precious it is to me.
