I was really glad to see that you have gave me so many nice comments about my dog. But about that buddy invitation. Yes I did canceled it twice. I had displeasing to do that because I always took all the friends if they have patted me or given comments. BUT I have one rule - I newer take friends who are crossed the rainbow. Sorry. It just.. hmm.. How to say that. Ok. I say how it is - they are dead. And let them be in peace. They can not have any more buddys and let just reamember them with all the best memorys.
We had a talk with that portal creators too that soon maybe the rainbow dogs can not send any more buddy calls and nobody can´t send to these dogs.

Rainbow dogs forever! I think that rainbow dogs are just as special and as important as live dogs and deserve to make buddies They may be dead to other people, but they are not dead to their owners

who do these two think they are!!!??????? I could say something but its its not polite...... just wait till they lose someoe they LOVE and see how they feel!!!! Personally I think they are just ignorant and silly & unfeeling and not worth bothering about!!

I personally make friends with all RAINBOW DOGS and I love giving them special presents and if the gruesome twosome = V&S convince UD to take away the Rainbow dogs I think lot of people will leave UD!!

I don´t understand why some people have a problem with rainbow dogs. They don´t have to be buddies with them if they don´t want to. What is the fuss about?

I agree! what right have people to decide that rainbow dogs shouldn´t be allowed make buddy requests just cause they have passed over to the rainbow. Rock on Rainbow Dogs may they make many new buddies. i for one love the rainbow dogs and I would leave UD if this choice is taking away from me! Thankfully my puppies are still with me but I would hope that if my guys did cross over to the rainbow that people would still have it in their hearts to be their buddies!

Neither I, nor my rainbow dog would want to be friends with anyone who feels like that anyway, so it´s no loss to us.

I don´t think UD will be stopping our Rainbow dogs from making new friends though. I´m sure they´re aware that they´re as important a part of this site as our living dogs.

I´m positive it´s her, dogs name is removed and user name fits the name signed in a message.

I´m sorry removed, but your dog is only one year old, and you have no clue how it is when you live with a dog for over a decade- they integrate themselves into tiniest pores of your life and it´s impossible to just move on when they pass on. They make such impact on your life that they´re just as important as alive dogs/people that surround you.

I love all my rainbow buddies for lots of reasons, but one of them is that all owners will be in the same situation some day and it´s so magnificent that UD made possible to keep the memory alive.

I joined the UD while my Ari was still alive.And during that time I have always accepted rainbow dogs as buddies, as I have been doing now since my Ari went rainbow.And that has been and still is my choise.And it is ok if you don´t want to accept a rainbow dog as a buddy, like we discussed in the forum before, under "rainbow dogs as buddies".That is the dicisson that every user makes for themself.
BUT to go as far as it is described in the end of that email, it´s just plain ridiculous!!!Ok, some people haven´t lost a dog, and don´t know how awful it is,
but to go to such an extent to try to ban rainbow buddies is just stupid and cruel!
That would be like shutting down on us users with a rainbow dog, and the UD would totally lost it´s meaning and puprose I think!
And some people should really stop and think for a minute about their ideas...or to try to imagine themselves in the shoes of a rainbow dog user!!!

I know this is a sensitive subject but by divulging contents of a private email and also linking to the profile of the sender the person could now be subjected to nasty emails. The doggie mail should have been reported to admin.

I bet these users never had any animal before. Because if they had they´d know how good it feels to make a profile as a tribute to our passed buddy!
But all we can do is just respect their opinion....

I think that it doesn´t have any sense. In the beginning rainbow cats and dogs couldn´t make any buddies and lot of Uc and UD users discussed that problem among them and with the admins. It took some time but for about half a year now the admins did as we wished and gave us the possibility to invite rainbow dogs and cats as buddies. I don´t think they would reverse their decision now. Nobody is forced to accept rainbow pets as their friends - but it´s their personal decision. If they want - they could even make a banner on their profile, that they don´t wish any contact with deceased pets. They will change their mind in a hurry when they loose their beloved pet. And the letter is just tactless! Erase and forget it! There are enough nice people here to make us happy.

I SAY RAINBOW DOGS ARE MORE PRECIOUS, I HAVE MY OWN RAINBOW DOG,AND EVEN THOUGH HE MAY NOT HAVE HIS OWN PAGE, HIS SON BANDIT DOES AND HIS DADS PIC IS ON THERE. I accept all invitations, no matter what the dog´s breed is, and is the dog a rainbow-dog or not. If user sent my dog an invite, that means he liked my dog. I can´t be unpolite to a person that liked my Lordas. I don´t see why I should reject dead dog´s invitation, if it makes his owner happy - it makes me smile too. But I really don´t think that you should have posted the sender´s name, the letter is kinda personal.

Could users please avoid leaving personal links or references to the user/dog name concerned, and as Val says it was a private email of a user’s personal opinion and as she said it could lead to the user receiving nasty emails, I have removed links and names where necessary for that reason.
