Ever since belly was little ...she had this thing for cleaning ... spider´s cobwebs. I observed her one day to my horror ...she was eating and cleaning the cobweb with a redback still in it´s web... from then on I really had to watch her... was really freaky!
Snoop Dogg when he was alittle pup he was asleep on the lounge ...I walk past him and heard a noise... I looked back at him and low and behold he was doing micky flips in his sleep ...was really funny! He has never done it again since that one time.
Khan well ...he chases flys ...bolds over anyone or anything in his path...he even goes to the extremes of that chilling staffy baby cry ...till that fly comes down to him. If he could walk up the wall he would lol!
Diesel when he was a pup ...he would take a glass from the cupboard and chew on it ... Horrorfied put the glasses higher where he couldnt reach them. Lucky for me he has grown out of it...but still likes to chew steel cans ... which i try to keep out of his reach.

Now I have told you my strange/weird things my dogs have done... Let´s hear yours

Bentley - if u make a "farting noise" with your mouth, Bentley spins around and looks at his own bum!!! LOL. he makes me laugh so much. Also sometimes he spins really fast and chases his tail, which i know some dogs do that, i have just never owned a dog that does that...

Thomas has a fascination with snails. He doesn´t kill them, just removes their shells. I try and keep him away from them, but the little monkey will always find a snail!

Back on the subject of farting (sorry ) Barney did a particularly loud one once and spend the next few moments barking at his bum. .
Also the first time he ever barked he gave himself such a fright he ran away. I´ve got a video of it somewhere, I´ll need to find it later and post it. He also catches spiders and moths which he eats and beetles, which he usually carries onto the sofa and then plays with, much to my horror.
Taz used to run away if you burped, or said ´fleas´. He was a sensitive soul lol.

I was in the kitchen one day, making a pot of coffee. I left once I got it started and went into the living room to watch tv. Next think I hear is Gertie (my Irish Setter) barking her fool head off. I go into the kitchen and she´s standing there barking at the coffee pot, which was nearing the end of brewing. Well we all know the pops and noises the coffeemaker makes at the end of the cycle. Well the coffeemarker let out a HUGE pop hiss noise and Gertie about jumped out of her skin. She jumped up straight and back at the same time. I still laugh when I think about it. To this day, if I make that noise, she will back up or run away. She was still a puppy when this happened or maybe just over a year. She´ll be 8 on Monday. It´s still with her LOL

Now that was my Gertie story. I had another Irish Setter, Sophie, who went to the bridge in 2005. I had just moved from CT to NY where I am now and was staying at my friend´s home. Mind you, this friend is the breeder of both Sophie and Gertie. So here I am, on the computer in one of her front rooms and her youngest son comes into the room and says, "Ummm ummm Carol??? I think you need to come into the kitchen." So I follow Brian into the kitchen to see only Sophie´s butt. She had opened the refridgerator door and was munching on a leg of lamb. 3/4 of her body was IN the fridge. She also learned to open my fridge door a few years later. Let me tell you, seeing a fridge duct taped with silver duct tape is NOT what I would call a new design for the kitchen!

Porkchop simply loves his chicken. He´s a killing machine coz he hates critters of any form but with this chicken, I think he made an exemption. One time, back home on vaca, as I was watching tv in my brother´s room (faces the half court and garden), my bro who was at the kitchen (side of their room facing the half court) came to their room window and whispered to me to look at what Porkchop was doing. I peeked and lo and behold I saw a white leghorn chicken coming toward Porkchop who was lying in the middle of the half court. I was thinking, "Oh it´ll be good eatin´ tonight for him!" and quickly told my brother to shoo the chicken off. Bro told me to just wait and see. I was shocked then bewildered then just downright disturbed to the scene unfolding before my eyes. The big tub-o-lard didn´t move a muscle. He allowed the chicken to come on top of him (tummy) and clean and somewhat massage him. When the chicken hit a sensitive spot on, he moved and the chicken fell off and I thought "oh ok, cleanings done and that was just weird". What happened next was just plain freaky. Porkchop used his paw (like a hand) to, I don´t know the right term here, grab? pull? lead? the chicken back onto his luscious body to continue it´s cleaning. A chicken masseuse? No I´ve seen everything. LOL.

Maxi hates his mirror image. Anything that he sees himself in, he´ll start barking his lil´ head off. During shopping, once he sees his reflection, he´ll bark at it too. One time, upon arrival at home from a party, he saw his reflection on the tv wood stand´s glass closet. Automatically, he barked like there was no tomorrow. What got my attention was this loud "bonk". Well, I think he really got irritated with the "other dog" coz he charged his reflection. I thought that was it, but all he did was shake the shock off and continued his barking. Silly Maxi.

I once had a rat terrier named Bella and she would go outside to play or potty and when she wanted in I would her her paw at the door. Well my husband came home one day with his hands full and I didn´t know he was home. I opened the door to let Bella in and saw my husband outside with his hands full needing help. I had no idea and it was hard to believe but he told Bella to "get momma". After he had said that she turned to the door and pawed for me to open it! Momma´s baby! I miss her!

Berty loves his reflection he stares at himeself and plays with the little dog he sees there.... he carries hs toys to the mirror and barks at "the dog" too.... he barks and plays with any reflection even in the stove door..... he loves watching tv!!! I even have to switch it off and then he looks at me as if to why did you do that? ...... he won´t leave tv even when its food time.... he loves any little insect in the garden and usualy ends up squashing them and when he farts he quickly runs out of the room and we are left there!!!??? He is a funny little dog with very endearing ways... he hides when I say "bedtime" as he wants to stay up and play..... he tries to catch the fish in the pond and sometimes he falls in as he gets so excited ....

Well, just like hotchihuahua, Snowdrop also likes to look at herself in the mirror, and always does so after her weekly bath and blow dry !!
However, the most strange thing that she does, ever since being a baby, is feeding her soft cuddly toy dog.
She takes him choice pieces of meat quite regularly, to wherever he is in the house, usually in the hall, and leaves him to eat it.
Of course I have always removed them, and she is therefore under the illusion, that he eats up his dinners, just like a good little boy !
Is that sweet or what ?

Oh, Snowdrop...that is soooo sweet.
Sinbad has a stuffed ice cream cone (well, actually 2 in case one needs a wash) that he actually holds between his paws and sucks on. He´ll sometimes lick it, then he´ll just have it in his mouth like a pacifier. He is in such peace when he´s chewing/sucking on it that he almost looks like he´s in a trance and falling asleep.

Paisley, unlike my other dogs or dogs i have known, will sit outside in the dark with a lamp and try to catch the bugs flying around it. Usually when she´s doing this i have to take the lamp away for her to snap out of it, its really funny. she also likes to watch shadows of trees when the wind is blowing them all over the place, lol.

my dog Bryan, every time he does his business outside, he´ll wipe his feet on the grass. I have never seen another dog do that... I thought it was rather funny.
