I´ve logged on here today and went to check on my buddy requests, and then I saw something that really made me sad...
Almost 10 of buddy request I´ve sent were turned down
And I just don´t know why, cause I´ve spent time looking at those dogs´ profiles and patting them and leaving nice comments and gifts...so it was strange me to be turned down
!And then i remembered that months ago some other user was talking about this, too, but i was unable to find his thread now.And I don´t remember anyone turning on my request while my Ari was alive ![]()
And yes, you can choose to accept or not to accept a buddy request, but I repeat that no one turned me down until my Ari went rainbow. So I find that very sad and frustrating and a bit heartless...![]()

I myself have never rejected any request, whether it was a rainbow dog or not, cause just if a dog isn´t alive anymore that doesn´t mean that it doesn´t exist for the owner in his heart anymore
So it really made me sad and brought tears to my eyes, because ever since my dog have died I´ve been spending here a lot of time looking for some comfort...What do you feel about these reasons for rejecting buddy requests ?

It can happen that when you are accepting new buddy you suddenly click on "deny" instead of "accept"- it happened to me a few times :-/ |

We have 2 previous threads like this one and it is not very nice when anyone rejects a buddy invite. What I said in previous thread was that at the end of the day we have to respect that refusal for what ever reason but on the brighter side there are still 1000´s of good buddies still to be met out there. Please Sanja do not dwell on these refusals as they are not worth wasting your time over. Their loss is someone else´s gain. |

I think that´s ridiculous. I don´t have any rainbow dogs myself but I never deny requests because they are rainbow dogs. If you don´t want to accept anything except a certain breed or something like that I guess I can understand but to deny a dog just because it´s a rainbow dog seems odd to me. |

I join Cookie8091 with all my heart: Don´t care, Sanja - the people who enjoy any buddy request are the vast majority here! |

don`t worry not everybody has the bad experience of loosing a dog so they don`t know that you still love them as if they were alive, and in this moment is that you find your true friends, so don`t worry that the idea it is not to get many friends it is to get true ones, and you have them. and ari knows that from heaven so he knows that you are around good people that share your feelings. |

Sanja I know you have just recently sent me a buddy request for your dog Ari, which of course I happily accepted. I feel the same way you do...just because a dog has passed on...does NOT mean the dog is gone. They will forever be in our hearts and minds, remebering all of the good times we had with them. I believe it makes no difference if a dog is here or staying at the rainbow bridge. I think this site is a great way to keep your dog "alive" you have all of there pictures on here, and all of there blogs...you will never lose tough with your dog this way and you will NEVER forget about them....Your dog is Beautiful, and in all of your pictures you look like you both loved eachother VERY much (Which I LOVE to see because I am such an animal lover)!! You know your dog is looking down on you happily wagging his tail knowing that you are keeping him alive by keeping his website alive and still inviting friends and staying on here. Don´t let other people who turn you or your dog down discourage you...they don´t know what a beautiful dog you had and are missing out on having a GREAT friend!! Toooooo Bad for them!!! |

I have got 2 Rainbow Dogs, Gipsy & Benji, and I always feel so grateful to the friends who ask them to be their dogs´ buddies! It seems to me making them have buddies is a way of keeping them close to me again! |

I can not believe somebody would turn down a request to be friends. To be asked for friendship must the single most wonder full thing that one can do to an other. |

I also accept all request sent to me and I also agree 1000% that rainbow dogs are special but sad to say that not all users are like us |

Well, if some part of the fault of rejecting buddies is because of the closeness of those buttons, maybe the accept button should be green and the reject button should be red! It´s just a tought.. |

I could not agree more. |

Maybe these people don´t have rainbow dogs and don´t understand our feelings. You shouldn´t pay attention to them and feel sad about it. Ari was a great dog and by staying on the site you can keep him alive. |
