Introduction

My husband and I decided long ago to move abroad when all our old dogs had died. They were too old for the upheaval of it before. When it was time for Sammy and Titch to be put to sleep, the vet came to our house so that they could be as comfortable as possible. We were then able to spend time with them before taking them to the crematorium. Even though little Sam died at the vets, she still came home so that Sammy and Titch could say their goodbyes to her. Then a few months before we were due to put the house in the UK on the market, we got Wendy to foster. As she was only young, there was no question of leaving her behind, but I have to say that the flight to Crete with Wendy on board, was the worst ever for me worrying about out she´d cope. On arrival, it was as if she was out on a normal evening stroll and has been completely laid back (for her) ever since!
